this was said by TM Vishnu Majnu and that anecdote, and a powerful message fetched him the first prize in the table topics contest held today on 7th feb 2010.

The meeting started at 2.50 pm at Petro House, Maradu with the announcement of acting Sergeant at Arms TM Vishnu Mohan. Acting President CC Dr .Murugesh, called the meeting to order.
Today, there is a special meeting. today is the CLUB LEVEL TABLE TOPICS CONTEST OF TRAVANCORE TOASTMASTERS CLUB.
TOPIC: You cannot change the direction of wind, but you can only change the direction of sail.
Acting president introduced the timer TM Panikar.
Then the president handed over the control to the CONTEST CHAIR CTM Shasheendran.
There were 10 contestants for the table topics contest and contest chair arranged their order with the help of lots.

The acting president, Dr. Murugesh handed over the prizes to the WINNERS.
before announcing the winners, there was the BUSINESS SESSION.
TM Jaideep shan read out the minutes of the 60th meeting.
TM Vishnu Mohan has been appointed as the ACTING SECRETARY in the absence of TM renju cherian.
TM sajith kumar suggested about noting down the number of people present in the meeting and putting it in minutes, and the then acting secretary TM Jaideep shan replied it will be done from next meeting onwards.
INAUGURATION OF THE NEW BLOG OF TRAVANCORE TOASTMASTERS CLUB, which was formed by TM Vishnu Mohan and TM Jaideep shan , was done by acting president CTM Dr. Murugesh by showing the page through the blackberry phone. he congratulated both on this brilliant work. This was the first initiative by a TM club from kerala.
CTM MONISH also congratulated them for their initiative.

TM Jaideep shan is a speaker who has its own style of speaking. He is with the travancore toastmasters club even since the starting of club. he is associated with toastmasters for the past 2 years and has membership in kochi toastmasters club also which shows his dedication towards toastmasters. Due to his everlasting commitment, he has been assigned the role of SERGEANT AT ARMS in our club.
Jaideep shan, a civil engineer by profession is a talented speaker in our club. his plus point is the humor that he inculcate in his each and every speech.
how can we forget the speeches like the one describing the mischiefs he had done in college, where he jumped inside the central jail. speech where he described about 1000 ANACONDAS and how he fighted with them really speaks of what a great humorous speaker he is. I must say, he is one of the greatest asset to our club.

Acting President introduced the timer TM Neena George and Grammarian TM Rohan.
Then the President handovered the control to TM of the day TM Bindu Prasad. CCNinan entertained the audience with an extempore joke session. Speech no1 was delivered by TM Jaideep Shan M V based on project no 5 of the basic manual. It was evaluated by TM Sajith kumar and the speaker was asked to move on to the next project.
Speech no.2 was delivered by TM Vishnu Mohan based on project no.7 of the basic manual. Evaluator TM Sabu Jose recommended the speaker to redo the project. Speech no. 3 was delivered by TM Vishnu Majnu based on project no.5 of the basic manual. Evaluator CC Dr. Murugesh congragulated the speaker for delivering an excellent speech and the speaker was advised to move on to the next project.
TM Lakshmi Majnu ably handled the Table topic Session and the Evaluation Session was organized by CC Shasheendran. Special Evaluation of the Table Topic session was done by CC MP John. Acting President informed that next week Table Topic Contest will be conducted and the conterst master will be CC Shasheendran. The awards distributed by the Acting President were as folllows

having a chat regarding some project speeches and how we can improve the standard of club and suddenly something striked in our mind. WHY CANT WE START A BLOG AS AN INITIAL STEP TOWARDS THIS??.
There was no rethinking needed in it and we decided to start a new blog for our travancore toastmasters club for the purpose of
1. posting agendas of each meeting
2. posting minutes of each meeting
3. posting events happening in the toastmasters like speech contest in club level, area level, district level, region level and international.
4. congratulating the winners of each meeting
5. for tips regarding public speaking by experts
and finally
6. for the overall improvement of our club.
I honestly request the helping hand of each and every toastmaster leaders in this regard.
